Doors open 45 minutes
before each concert (earlier for restaurant access - see below)
Latecomers will not be admitted into the auditorium until there is a
suitable break in the music. There is a video monitor with digital audio
relay in the foyer at Door 6.
Bags and Coats may be left in the cloakrooms at Door 4 (ground level),
Door 8 (circle level) and within the Arena corridor. Folding chairs and
hand-luggage larger than a briefcase are not allowed in the auditorium.
Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted inside the auditorium,
and the use of cameras, video cameras and recording equipment is strictly
forbidden. Mobile phones and watch alarms should be turned off.
In consideration of our audience and artists, children under the age
of 5 are not allowed in the auditorium. Children between the ages of
5 and 16 are positively encouraged
Dress Code
There is no dress code at the Proms.
Restaurants and Bars
The Royal Albert Hall has three restaurants serving sandwiches and light
meals through to three-course dinners. All restaurants and the Champagne
and North Circle Bars open two hours before the start of the performance.
Other bars, located on every floor, open an hour before the start of
the performance. Post-show refreshments are available in the Prince Consort
Café and Wine Bar after early-evening concerts. For information
